The Galaxy Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd. was organized and registered under the Meghalaya Cooperative Societies Act and Rules having its registration No. SOHRA/1 of 2002 dt. 18^th January, 2002 with its registered address at village Nongsteng, B.P.O. Tynrong via Cherra Bazar, Sohra Sub- Division, Meghalaya.

The society is having a total membership strength of 11 members and managed by the elected Managing Committee which constituted 7(seven) members including the Chairman Shri. S. Donshiew and the Secretary, Shri. D. Pahsyntiew.

The main activities of the society is only for procurement and marketing of Minor Forest Produce like Tezpatta, Broomsticks and Black Pepper.
